Description
Crispy Chicken Wonton Tacos: An Incredible Ultimate Recipe
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground chicken
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1 cup shredded carrots
- 1 cup chopped green onions
- 1 cup chopped bell peppers
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 package of wonton wrappers
- Oil for frying
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional toppings: sliced avocados, cilantro, lime wedges, or sriracha
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground chicken. Cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
- Stir in the soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
- Add shredded carrots, green onions, and bell peppers to the skillet. Stir well and cook for an additional 5 minutes until the vegetables soften.
- Add hoisin sauce, salt, and pepper to taste. Mix thoroughly and remove from heat.
- Lay out wonton wrappers on a clean surface. Place about 1 tablespoon of the chicken mixture in the center of each wrapper.
- Fold the wrapper in half to form a triangle. Press the edges to seal, using a little water if necessary.
- In a large pot or deep skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. You’ll want enough oil to submerge the tacos.
- Carefully add the wonton tacos to the hot oil, frying them in batches. Cook for about 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the tacos from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
- Arrange the crispy chicken wonton tacos on a platter and garnish with optional toppings.
