Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 loaf ciabatta bread, sliced in half
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, sliced
  • 4 slices Havarti cheese
  • 4 slices pepper jack cheese
  • 6 slices crispy bacon
  • 1/2 cup salsa verde
  • 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 cups arugula
  • 1 tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh chives, chopped

Instructions

  1. Prepare your dressing by blending mayonnaise, buttermilk, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, onion powder, cayenne pepper, parsley, chives, and dill until smooth.
  2. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  3. Assemble the sandwich by cutting the ciabatta loaf in half and hollowing out some of the top half. Spread ranch dressing over the bottom half.
  4. Layer on Havarti and pepper jack cheese, followed by sliced chicken. Drizzle with salsa verde and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Place the sandwich on a baking sheet and bake for about 15 minutes or until cheese melts.
  6. Prepare the greens by tossing together arugula, sun-dried tomatoes, cilantro, dill, and sesame seeds. Season with salt to taste.
  7. Once the sandwich is done baking, add the prepared greens and crispy bacon on top, drizzling more ranch dressing. Place the hollowed top half back on.
  8. Bake for an additional 5 minutes until the top is golden and crisp.
  9. Slice the sandwich into six portions and enjoy!

Notes

For best texture, reheat leftover sandwiches in an oven to maintain crispiness.
