Description

A flavorful twist on classic fettuccine Alfredo with Cajun seasoning, tender steak, and a creamy sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye), sliced
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, bring salted water to a rolling boil. Add the fettuccine and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Reserve a cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. Season your sliced steak generously with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Heat the olive oil over medium-high heat in your skillet. Once hot, add the steak in an even layer and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until it reaches your desired doneness. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring gently, and let it simmer for a couple of minutes.
  5. Add the cooked fettuccine straight into the sauce, tossing to coat evenly. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until it melts and the sauce is creamy. If it’s too thick, add a little reserved pasta water until you reach your desired consistency.
  6. Add the sliced steak back to the skillet, combining it with the pasta and sauce. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half. You can also add vegetables like bell peppers or spinach for extra nutrition.
