- 1 small head of cabbage, chopped
- 4 slices of bacon, chopped
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the chopped bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy.
- Sauté the chopped cabbage in the remaining bacon fat until slightly tender.
- Mix the sour cream, half of the cheddar cheese, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Layer cabbage and bacon in a baking dish, pour sour cream mixture on top.
- Sprinkle remaining cheese and breadcrumbs, drizzle with melted butter.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Allow cooling for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For a healthier option, use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream.
