Description

Classic pigs in a blanket made with crescent roll dough wrapped around mini cocktail wieners, brushed with melted butter and sprinkled with coarse salt for a golden, savory appetizer.


Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour, for surface
  • 1 tube crescent rolls
  • 1 package mini cocktail wieners
  • 4 tbsp. melted unsalted butter
  • Coarse salt, to taste
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp. honey
  • 1 tbsp. lime juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375ºF.
  2. Lightly flour a clean surface, then unroll the crescent roll dough and tear it apart where perforated. Cut each large triangle into three smaller triangles.
  3. Place one mini cocktail wiener along the thick edge of each small triangle, then roll the dough toward the thinner edge to encase the wiener.
  4. Arrange the wrapped wieners on a medium-sized baking sheet. Brush each with melted unsalted butter, then sprinkle with coarse salt.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  6. While baking, whisk together mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, honey, and lime juice in a small bowl.
