Description

These delightful Cinnamon Donut Muffins are a perfect hybrid of cinnamon donuts and muffins, providing a quick and sweet treat for your busy mornings.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for topping)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (for topping)
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter (for dipping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a muffin tin with cooking spray or line it with muffin liners.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together the milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
  5. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir just until combined.
  6. Scoop the batter into your prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about 2/3 full.
  7. Bake for about 15-18 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Let the muffins cool in the tin for about 5 minutes, then dip the tops into melted butter, then roll them in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.

Notes

Feel free to add chocolate chips or nuts to the batter for extra flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 1-2 days.
