Description

Delightful meringues shaped like Christmas trees, perfect for holiday gatherings and celebrations.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 Egg Whites
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cream of Tartar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • Green Food Coloring
  • Optional: Edible Glitter or Sprinkles
  • Optional: Melted Chocolate for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 225°F (110°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Whip the egg whites on medium speed until foamy, about 2 minutes.
  3. Add the cream of tartar and continue to whisk until soft peaks form.
  4. Gradually add sugar, one tablespoon at a time, while whisking on high until stiff peaks form (about 8-10 minutes).
  5. Gently fold in vanilla extract and green food coloring until combined.
  6. Transfer the meringue to a piping bag fitted with a star tip and pipe tree shapes onto the baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 1 hour 30 minutes until completely dry and crisp.
  8. Turn off the oven, leave the door ajar, and cool the meringues inside for 30 minutes.

Notes

For a festive touch, consider airbrushing your cooled meringues with edible glitter.
