Description

A festive dessert combining rich cheesecake with tart cherry filling and crunchy pistachios, perfect for holiday gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup cherry pie filling
  • 1/2 cup chopped pistachios
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • Whipped cream for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs and melted unsalted butter, then press into a greased 9×9 inch baking dish to form the crust.
  3. In another bowl, beat together softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Add sour cream to the cream cheese mixture and mix until well-blended.
  5. Spread the cheesecake mixture evenly over the crust.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of cherry pie filling over the cheesecake layer and gently swirl with a knife.
  7. Sprinkle chopped pistachios evenly over the top.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the center is set.
  9. Cool completely at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  10. Cut into bars, serve with a dollop of whipped cream if desired, and enjoy!
