Delicious and easy baked Chocolate Mini Donuts that bring joy to your mornings with their rich chocolate flavor and glaze.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup white sugar
  • 4 tablespoons sunflower oil (or melted butter)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup milk (dairy or dairy-free)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 6 tablespoons chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons melted butter (for glaze)
  • 3 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
  • 3/4 cup icing sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease the donut pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the wet ingredients including sunflower oil, white sugar, brown sugar, egg, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, mix together the dry ingredients including flour, cocoa powder, salt, baking soda, and baking powder. Slowly add the dry mixture to the wet mixture and stir until just combined.
  4. Transfer the batter to a Ziploc bag, snip off a corner, and pipe the batter into the donut pan, filling each cavity halfway.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 7 to 10 minutes. They are done when a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  6. Let the donuts cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  7. For the glaze, melt butter and chocolate chips with milk over low-medium heat, then whisk in icing sugar until glossy.
  8. Dip the tops of the cooled donuts into the glaze and let them set on a wire rack.
