Description

Savory Chinese Beef Dumplings with Celery offer a delightful blend of flavors and textures, perfect for a comforting meal or an impressive appetizer.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 1 cup Chinese celery, chopped
  • 1 cup Corn kernels, fresh or frozen
  • 1 each Egg
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Chinese cooking wine
  • 1 tsp Sesame oil
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Granulated sugar
  • 1 pack Dumpling wrappers

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped Chinese celery, corn kernels, egg, soy sauce, cooking wine, sesame oil, salt, and sugar. Stir until fully blended.
  2. Place a spoonful of the filling in the center of a dumpling wrapper. Moisten edges with water, fold into a half-moon shape, and seal.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add dumplings and cook for 2-3 minutes until crispy. Add water to cover halfway, cover, and steam for 5 minutes.
  4. To steam, bring water to a boil and place dumplings in a steamer. Steam for 15-20 minutes until tender.
  5. For boiling, fill a large pot with ⅔ water, bring to a boil, drop dumplings and cook until they float, then add 2-3 minutes.
  6. Store uncooked dumplings in the fridge for up to 2 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
