- 1 lb Ground beef
- 1 cup Chinese celery, chopped
- 1 cup Corn kernels, fresh or frozen
- 1 each Egg
- 2 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Chinese cooking wine
- 1 tsp Sesame oil
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Granulated sugar
- 1 pack Dumpling wrappers
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped Chinese celery, corn kernels, egg, soy sauce, cooking wine, sesame oil, salt, and sugar. Stir until fully blended.
- Place a spoonful of the filling in the center of a dumpling wrapper. Moisten edges with water, fold into a half-moon shape, and seal.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add dumplings and cook for 2-3 minutes until crispy. Add water to cover halfway, cover, and steam for 5 minutes.
- To steam, bring water to a boil and place dumplings in a steamer. Steam for 15-20 minutes until tender.
- For boiling, fill a large pot with ⅔ water, bring to a boil, drop dumplings and cook until they float, then add 2-3 minutes.
- Store uncooked dumplings in the fridge for up to 2 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
