- 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup fresh cherries, pitted and chopped
- 1 tube (8 oz) crescent roll dough
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 egg wash (1 egg beaten with 1 Tbsp water)
- 1 cup ricotta cheese (or cream cheese for a richer flavor)
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, granulated sugar, lemon juice, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
- Open the tube of crescent roll dough and press it out flat onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, sealing the perforations.
- Spread the cheese mixture evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border. Top with chopped cherries.
- Fold the edges of the dough over the filling, leaving an open center. Brush with egg wash.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool for a few minutes, drizzle powdered sugar over the top, slice, and serve.
