Cheesesteak Tortellini


Description

Cheesesteak Tortellini is a delectable and filling dish that blends the traditional flavors of a cheesesteak with the comforting taste of pasta. This dish is ideal for any occasion that calls for food that fills you up, is delicious and simple to cook.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef, or thinly cut steak (like sirloin, ribeye, or sirloin)
  • 1 box (9 1 oz) of cheese torttellini (fresh or frozen)
  • 2 cloves of garlic (minced)
  • One small bell pepper (diced)
  • One small onion (diced)
  • 1 cup shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese
  • 1 Cup heavy cream
  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil, butter or
  • Black pepper and salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Large saucepan of salted and salted water up to a simmer and cook the pasta according to the instructions on the package. Rinse and set aside.
  2. Warm butter or olive oil in a large pan at medium-high temperature. Add the diced bell pepper and onion and cook until softened approximately 3-4 minutes. Incorporate the chopped garlic, and cook for an additional minute. Take the vegetables off and set aside.
  3. Within the skillet prepare your ground meat or even thinly cut steak until golden brown and fully cooked. Add salt and pepper as desired.
  4. Reduce the heat to medium low. Add the heavy cream as well as cooked vegetables. Allow to simmer for a couple of minutes and allow the flavors to mix.
  5. Incorporate the cooked tortellini into the skillet, and stir into the sauce’s  creamy flavor. Sprinkle the cheese that you have shredded on top and stir until the cheese is melted and gooey.
  6. Serve warm and garnish with cheese or fresh parsley if you want. Serve with garlic bread or an easy salad for complete meals.

Notes

  • Use a combination of provolone and mozzarella cheese for extra cheesy goodness.
  • To add flavor, think about adding sauteed spinach or mushrooms to the dish.
  • If you’re looking for a touch of spice, you can add chopped red pepperflakes the meat during cooking.
