Description

A delicious fusion of classic cheesesteak flavors with tender tortellini in a creamy Parmesan sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz tortellini (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 lb sirloin steak, thinly sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Olive oil (for cooking)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the tortellini according to package instructions until al dente (about 5 minutes).
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat and sauté the sirloin steak until browned (about 3-5 minutes).
  3. Add sliced bell pepper and onion to the skillet and sauté until tender, adding minced garlic for the last minute.
  4. Return the cooked steak to the skillet, add heavy cream, and bring to a simmer while stirring in Parmesan cheese until melted.
  5. Toss in the cooked tortellini and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

For extra flavor, salt the water when boiling the tortellini and consider adding a pinch of nutmeg to the sauce.
