Instructions

  1. Prep Your Ingredients: Gather all your ingredients, wash the cranberries, and remove any stems or bruised berries (5 minutes).
  2. Make the Syrup: In a saucepan, combine 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of water. Heat over medium, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and cool slightly (10 minutes).
  3. Soak the Cranberries: Add cranberries to the syrup and stir to coat. Let soak for at least 1 hour (10 minutes).
  4. Drain and Dry: Transfer cranberries to a wire rack over a baking sheet and dry for about 1 hour (10 minutes).
  5. Coat the Cranberries: Roll the dried cranberries in the remaining sugar until fully coated (5 minutes).
  6. Final Drying: Let the coated cranberries sit for an additional 30 minutes to dry before serving.
