Description
Ultra-fudgy, chewy Brown Butter Brownies made with deeply browned butter for a nutty, caramelized flavor that transforms classic chocolate brownies into a gourmet treat.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter (Brown on stove)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs (Room temperature)
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup cocoa powder (Sifted)
- ¾ cup dark chocolate chunks (Fold in)
- ¾ cup all-purpose flour (Sifted)
- ½ tsp salt
Instructions
- Brown butter in a light-colored saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly as it melts, foams, and browns. When golden and nutty, remove from heat and cool 10 minutes.
- Whisk the cooled brown butter with both sugars until combined, then add eggs one at a time until glossy. Stir in vanilla.
- Sift cocoa powder, flour, and salt into the wet mixture and fold gently. Fold in chocolate chunks.
- Spread batter into a parchment-lined pan and bake at 350°F for 25–30 minutes until edges set and center slightly jiggles.
- Cool completely in the pan for at least 2 hours (or overnight). Chill 30 minutes before slicing for clean cuts.
Notes
- Ensure butter is browned properly for best flavor.
- Use room temperature eggs for better mixing.
- Let brownies cool completely for easier slicing.
