Description

A delightful Black Forest Cheesecake combining rich chocolate, creamy cheese, and sweet-tart cherries, perfect for impressing guests and satisfying your dessert cravings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup chocolate cookies, crushed
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup cherry pie filling
  • 2 oz dark chocolate, shavings for garnish
  • Cherries for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine the crushed chocolate cookies and melted butter. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form a crust.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  4. In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  5. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until fully combined.
  6. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the prepared crust and smooth the top.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes until set. (It may have a slight wobble in the center.)
  8. Once removed from the oven, allow the cheesecake to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.
  9. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours before serving.
  10. Top with cherry pie filling, dark chocolate shavings, and fresh cherries before serving.

Notes

For a dairy-free version, substitute with vegan cream cheese and coconut cream. Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature for best results.
