Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef sirloin or flank steak (sliced into thin strips)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 medium onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon paprika (smoked or sweet)
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season the sliced beef with salt and pepper.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat the olive oil until shimmering.
  3. Add the beef strips to the skillet in a single layer and cook for 2–3 minutes on each side until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and sauté for 3–4 minutes until softened.
  5. Stir in the minced garlic and paprika and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  6. Pour in the beef broth, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet, and bring to a simmer.
  7. Reduce the heat to medium-low and add the heavy cream, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir well to combine.
  8. Add the cooked beef back into the skillet and stir to coat with the sauce. Simmer for 5–7 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
  9. Serve over noodles, rice, or mashed potatoes and garnish with fresh parsley.
