Beef in creamy paprika sauce is a rich and flavorful dish perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound beef sirloin or flank steak (sliced into thin strips)
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 medium onion (finely chopped)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tablespoon paprika (smoked or sweet)
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Season the sliced beef with salt and pepper.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat the olive oil until shimmering.
- Add the beef strips to the skillet in a single layer and cook for 2–3 minutes on each side until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and sauté for 3–4 minutes until softened.
- Stir in the minced garlic and paprika and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the beef broth, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet, and bring to a simmer.
- Reduce the heat to medium-low and add the heavy cream, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir well to combine.
- Add the cooked beef back into the skillet and stir to coat with the sauce. Simmer for 5–7 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
- Serve over noodles, rice, or mashed potatoes and garnish with fresh parsley.
