Description

A classic British comfort food dish featuring hearty Bangers and fluffy mashed potatoes topped with rich onion gravy.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large potatoes, peeled and chopped
  • 4 pork sausages
  • 2 onions, sliced
  • 1 cup beef or vegetable broth
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Milk, for mashing

Instructions

  1. Boil potatoes in salted water until tender. Drain and mash with milk, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
  2. Cook sausages in a skillet until browned. Remove and keep warm.
  3. Sauté onions in the same skillet; add flour and gradually stir in broth until thickened.
  4. Serve sausages over mashed potatoes, topped with onion gravy.

Notes

For a dairy-free version, substitute milk with almond milk and use olive oil instead of butter.
