Description

Soft, fluffy yeast rolls infused with real mashed banana, filled with cinnamon sugar, and topped with a rich cream cheese frosting and fresh banana slices.


Ingredients

  • 4.5 cups all-purpose flour (Plus extra for dusting)
  • 1 packet active dry yeast (2 1/4 tsp)
  • 3/4 cup warm milk (110°F)
  • 1 cup ripe bananas (Mashed, about 2 bananas)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (For dough)
  • 1/2 cup butter (Melted, for dough)
  • 1 large egg (Room temperature)
  • 1 cup brown sugar (Packed, for filling)
  • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon (For filling)
  • 1/2 cup butter (Softened, for filling)
  • 8 oz cream cheese (Softened)
  • 2 cups powdered sugar (For frosting)

Instructions

  1. Activate yeast in warm milk with 1 tbsp sugar for 5-10 minutes.
  2. Mix mashed banana, butter, egg, sugar, salt, and flour; knead until smooth.
  3. Let dough rise in a warm place for 1-1.5 hours until doubled.
  4. Roll out, spread with butter and cinnamon sugar, roll up, and cut into 12 pieces.
  5. Place in pan, rise again for 30 mins, then bake at 350°F for 25-30 mins.
  6. Frost with cream cheese icing and top with fresh banana slices.
