Scale
  • 2 cups cooked ham
  • 1 cup ground pork
  • 1 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 large beaten egg
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ginger

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a greased 13×9-inch casserole dish.
  2. Process chunks of cooked ham in a food processor until they resemble ground pork.
  3. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl, and mix gently.
  4. Form the mixture into 1/3 cup-sized balls and arrange them in the dish.
  5. Bake uncovered for 15 minutes.
  6. Prepare the glaze by whisking together the glaze ingredients in a saucepan.
  7. Pour the prepared glaze over the ham balls and return to the oven for an additional 40 minutes.
  8. Check the internal temperature, ensuring it reaches 160°F (71°C), then let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
