Enjoy easy Autumn Naan Pizzas with Pumpkin, Sausage, and Sage for a cozy meal.
Ingredients

- 1 tablespoon Extra-virgin olive oil (Can substitute with avocado oil)
- 2 medium Shallots (Yellow onions can be used as an alternative)
- 1 pound Ground sausage (Turkey or plant-based sausage can be used)
- 4 pieces Naan breads (Standard pizza crust or pita are good alternatives)
- 1 cup Canned pumpkin puree (Fresh cooked pumpkin works well too)
- 1 teaspoon Dried oregano (Italian seasoning can be substituted)
- 1 cup Grated Fontina cheese (Can substitute with mozzarella or gouda)
- 1/2 cup Whole-milk ricotta cheese (Cottage cheese is a lighter substitute)
- 6 leaves Fresh sage (Thyme or rosemary work well too)
- 2 tablespoons Hot honey (Regular honey or balsamic reduction can be used)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil and sauté sliced shallots for 4-5 minutes until soft.
- Crumble the ground sausage into the skillet and cook for about 6-7 minutes until browned.
- Arrange naan on a baking sheet and spread pumpkin puree over each. Sprinkle with oregano.
- Distribute grated Fontina cheese, then layer the sausage and shallot mixture, followed by dollops of ricotta cheese.
- Rub sage leaves with olive oil and scatter over the pizzas.
- Bake for approximately 15 minutes or until the naan is golden brown.
- Remove from oven, drizzle with hot honey and serve warm.
