Ingredients

  • 68 apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons flour

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 package pie crusts
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Prep and mix apples with other ingredients.
  3. Assemble the pie in a prepared crust.
  4. Cover with second crust and make slits for steam.
  5. Brush with egg wash and bake for 15 minutes, then reduce temperature to 350°F (175°C) and bake for an additional 30-35 minutes.
