Description
Quick and crispy air fryer apple wedges coated with cinnamon and sugar, perfect for a snack or light dessert.
Ingredients
Scale
- 680 g firm apples (about 4 medium, such as Honeycrisp or Fuji)
- 28 g unsalted butter (2 tbsp), melted
- 25 g brown sugar (2 tbsp), packed
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon (about 4 g)
- 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg (pinch, optional)
- 15 ml lemon juice (1 tbsp)
- 1/8 tsp kosher salt (small pinch)
- 15 ml maple syrup or honey (1 tbsp, optional for glazing)
Instructions
- Choose and wash the apples. Cut each apple into 8 wedges (core removed) for about 32 wedges total.
- In a small bowl, whisk together brown sugar, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, and kosher salt.
- In a medium bowl, combine melted butter and lemon juice. Toss the apple wedges to coat.
- Sprinkle the sugar-spice mixture over the butter-coated wedges and toss gently to coat.
- Arrange wedges in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Air-fry at 190°C (375°F) for 10–12 minutes for thin wedges or 12–16 minutes for thicker wedges, flipping halfway.
- If using, brush maple syrup or honey on the hot wedges for shine and serve warm.
Notes
For best results, cook in batches and avoid overcrowding the air fryer. You can prepare the wedges ahead of time and toss them in lemon juice to prevent browning.
