Delicious and easy-to-make Air Fryer Apple Fritters that are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, perfect for a quick treat.

- 1 1/2 cups plain flour
- 1/4 cup white sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon powder
- 1/3 cup full-fat milk
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla essence
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and chopped
- 1 cup icing sugar (for glaze)
- 3 tablespoons full-fat milk (for glaze)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence (for glaze)
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted (for glaze)
Instructions
- Prep your ingredients and chop the apples.
- In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, vanilla essence, and lemon juice.
- Create a well in the dry mix and add wet ingredients and melted butter, fold in the chopped apples.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F and line the basket with parchment paper.
- Scoop 1/4 cup portions into the air fryer and cook for 8 minutes, flip, and cook for an additional 3 minutes.
- Mix icing sugar, milk, vanilla, and melted butter for the glaze.
- Dip cooked fritters in the glaze and serve warm.
Notes
These fritters are customizable with nuts or different fruits. For a healthier version, consider using whole wheat flour.
