Ingredients

  • Your choice of tea leaves (black, green, oolong, or herbal)
  • Fresh, filtered water
  • A sweetener of choice (optional)
  • Milk or non-dairy alternative (optional)
  • Citrus or spices for flavor (optional)

Instructions

  1. Choose your tea and measure about 1 tsp (2-3 g) for every 8 fl oz (240 ml) of water.
  2. Heat the water to the appropriate temperature: black teas (95–100°C), green teas (70–85°C), oolong (85–95°C), and herbal tisanes (near boiling).
  3. Pre-warm your vessel by swirling hot water in it.
  4. Steep the tea for the recommended time: black (3-5 minutes), green (1.5-3 minutes), oolong (2.5-4 minutes), herbal (5-8 minutes).
  5. Remove the tea leaves or infuser and allow the tea to rest for 30–60 seconds.
  6. Taste the tea and adjust to your preference with sweeteners, milk, or spices.
  7. Enjoy your cup and personalize it as you wish.
